Operation Sceptre - Knife sweep on Fairfield

Officers from Buxton neighbourhood team alongside High Peak borough council have been out this afternoon in Fairfield completing a knife sweep of the local areas. 
This is all part of Operation Sceptre.  
In Derbyshire, we work year-round to tackle knife crime, and this week that work will be in the spotlight as a national knife crime campaign begins, 17th - 25th November.
This includes visiting schools and delivering inputs to both late-primary and secondary students, as well as hosting pop-up stalls in colleges across the county.

Op Sceptre, run by the National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC), runs twice a year and is a chance for teams to speak to local communities, start conversations about knife crime and show first-hand what we are doing to educate and keep weapons off the streets.
